The World Book of Happiness

World Book of Happiness low-rescompressed The World Book of Happiness is finally being published in the UK (Marshall Cavendish, 2012). The book features contributions from ’100 happiness professors from all around the world.’ Miriam contributed a chapter on ‘training the happy muscles.’  Herman van Rompuy, who heads the European Council, is sending copies of the book to world leaders.

The Summer of Our Discontent

happienesszone New article just published on Positive Psychology News. This tells the story of Miriam’s experience applying positive psychology with disaffected young people and NEETs (not in education, employment or training).  The experiment had significant results and proved to me that positive psychology can be applied not only as prevention but also as treatment for young.

Article in Depression Alliance’s Single Step magazine

depression-alliance I’d like to draw your attention to the charity – the Depression Alliance – which operates a network of self-help groups across the UK.  I was interviewed for an article in their Single Step magazine earlier this year, highlighting some of the ways in which positive psychology can be used in the treatment of depression.
